Brewing guide
Espresso
A starting recipe: 18 g of ground coffee for about 36 g of espresso in 25 to 30 seconds. Adjust the grind first: finer if the shot tastes sour, coarser if it tastes bitter.
Pour over and filter
Use about 1 part coffee to 16 parts water (for example 15 g to 240 g), a medium-fine grind and water at 92 to 96 °C. Aim for a total brew time of roughly 2:30 to 3:30.
AeroPress
15 g of coffee and 220 g of water at about 90 to 95 °C. Steep for 1.5 to 2 minutes, then press slowly.
French press
Use a 1:15 ratio and a coarse grind. Steep for 4 minutes, plunge and pour straight away.
